DIL receives 7,000 books as a donation from a leading publishing company

12783568_965672576802085_371983116203267947_o DIL extends its deepest appreciation to a  that last month contributed free of cost some 7,000 books to our libraries. These are mostly Science, Arts, Social Studies and General Knowledge related books for the students up to grade 8. The books are in the process of being distributed across our 124 school campuses across the country. DIL librarians and school staff will be using the books as reading support material to enhance reading skills of students during library time period. Quoting British philosopher Malcolm Forbes, our donor (who prefers to remain anonymous) said: “The purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one.What we need in our country is this kind of education which will ensure independent and critical thinking in our students, without which Pakistan cannot move forward within the international community.”
